“Stardom” Night Two Recap from The Hallkeeper’s POV.

Brooke Owens (victorious) vs. Rena Kadoya vs. Misaki Yumako.

This was the first match on the spectacle, and set the tone for the rest of the night.

Brooke Owens vs. Rena Kadoya vs. Misaki Yumako in a “Spotlight Scramble” match for the first time ever. This was a really fun stipulation to come up with, but even more fun to watch. These ladies are no strangers to making history, and that’s exactly what they did. All three of them were evenly matched, and that showed throughout the match. Props to the Referee, Joey Hendrix, for keeping up with them. The ending of this one was incredible, as it seemed to me that Brooke accidentally won the match while Rena and Misaki were focused on tearing each other apart. After being thrown onto the platform under the spotlight, Brooke sat there in pain, and I… I genuinely don’t even know to this day if Brooke knew where she was, even with the spotlight beaming down on her. Needless to say, Rena and Misaki weren’t happy with that result. Exciting match. Congratulations, Brooke.

Dwight Slade vs. Johnny Reynolds.

This match was supposed to take place, but didn’t, as Johnny Reynolds felt the need to blindside Drewski Hoxley during the introductions. Drewski didn’t seem very thrilled with Johnny due to the pompous attitude that he carries, and that may or may not have been on display during Drewski’s introduction for him. Johnny took this personally. I couldn’t let that slide, and while I understood both sides of the coin, there was only one thing that made sense to do in this situation. So, here.

There was a video that aired, where I said that Johnny needs to do something about the attitude, because it seems like he hasn’t been lei’d in a while. That’s obviously the version that I meant. I would never, ever tell someone that they need the other version. Never. I also knew that Hughie Fivo was roaming around backstage, and that’s exactly who ended up being his partner for this one. Drewski and Dwight teaming up for the very first time, as well as Johnny and Hughie? Dream teams, if you ask me. All four competitors gave it their all, even if Hughie was eliminated quickly. Dwight pinned Hughie, Johnny pinned Dwight, and Drewski pinned Johnny to pick up the win. A big congratulations to Dwight, and Drewski. Thank you to all four of these guys for a highly entertaining match.

The Bray Scott (victorious) Open Challenge.

I’m a fan of Bray Scott formerly known as Braden Karsin, and I’ve had a front row seat to his entire career. I’ve seen him at his highest points, as well as his lowest, and through all of it he manages to come back stronger than ever. Bray has had an incredible run here at the Rogue Hall, with some great matches in the past, and now he can add this one to the list. I didn’t know who would accept this challenge, and it really didn’t hit me until the very last minute who did. Reverend Cornelius Chatterwall. Reverend has been one of the fastest rising stars on the grid, and there aren’t many names who have had such a strong emotional attachment to their audience in a long time. He was the perfect opponent for Bray, and for this being the first time that they had ever wrestled one another, it almost seemed as though they had been feuding for years. This was a back-and-forth match, with neither competitor having the upper hand for a long period of time. Incredible work from both of these stars. Congratulations to Bray on getting the win, and for a successful open challenge. He could very well be a new believer in Dudederonimy.

Becky vs. Jenn Parkin (c) (victorious) vs. Viola Beaumont.

I said a lot about these three competitors, right here.

I’ve wrestled in this structure twice, and each time it’s put me out of action for two months at the very least. It’s barbaric, mentally taxing, and can be a career killer. I’m still asking for the reports from the Legendary Valley Hospital to make sure that all three of these competitors are cleared for future matches, and thankfully I believe that they will be sooner rather than later, but… If you watched this match, there’s a good chance that you did it with your eyes almost shut the entire time. None of them held back. From Viola and Becky clashing with light tubes, to Jenn taking a screwdriver to both of their heads and stabbing them repeatedly, to Becky somehow getting stuck in one of the corners of the structure… It was a hell of a match, and showed just how far they would go to be known as the Rogue Hall Women’s World Champion. An absolute banger, and there’s no question about it. Congratulations to Jenn on retaining her championship, and continuing this reign that she’s on. We definitely saw the prime “Hardcore Freak” in her element, even with the beating she endured at the hands of Becky and Viola. Incomparable trio.
