The Samantha Foxy Interview.
Henry: “Samantha, the former Rogue Hall Women’s World Champ! How are you?”
Samantha: “I’m doing okay, still in disbelief considering the circumstances. It’s not easy when someone so close to me, my very own student, turns against me like that. It hurts, but as people say, the show must go on, so I’m still trying to focus.”
Henry: “I understand. I’m going to assume just from that, that you read the Mazra interview. You don’t have to hold back. I can tell there’s more on your mind here.”
Samantha: “Well, I do understand why Mazra would feel how she does, but the whole thing about me trying to put her “on the right path” wasn’t in bad faith.”
Henry: “I believe you, but why does it seem like you’re a little uneasy about it?”
Samantha: “I’ll be transparent. I’ve done a lot of terrible things such as my “Red Nightmare” phase. Hurting people, and ending careers. I used to enjoy inflicting damage, and not normal damage… More than usual. I’ve changed since then. I forgave myself, earned forgiveness from my supporters, and all of the people that I almost put out of commission permanently. We all have demons, and I had mine.”
Henry: “I’ve been there too, but I would say that inflicting damage is a good thing. Everyone knows what they sign up for when they become a part of our industry.”
Samantha: “I get it, really, I do… It’s hard for me to navigate the difference sometimes. With Mazra, all I wanted to do was to prevent her from falling into the same darkness. Maybe she’s right, at times I could seem like an overzealous “mother figure” but I always wanted to protect her, and allow her to shine without having to come face-to-face with the demons that I had. Isn’t that a part of this? Looking after the wrestlers that come after you, and trying to set an example?”
Henry: “I understand, and I can agree with that as well. In her interview, Mazra also mentioned the matches that occurred earlier this year. Any comments?”
Samantha: “Ah, yes. Well, actually… I don’t know what to say. When you’re in the ring in a situation like the “Retrowave” Rumble, you’re on your own. I told her that before the match even came about. I was defending my Rogue Hall Women’s World Championship, and my goal was to retain, no matter who was in my way.
As far as the Tag-Team match goes, all I can say is that they were the better team that night. Elena and Dazzle got the job done, so I won’t be making any excuses.”
Henry: “I respect it. We’re just hours away from the match. Final thoughts?”
Samantha: “I hope that my opponents are ready, especially Mazra. While I’m sad about how everything went down, it still happened, and she betrayed me. You’re not someone that I’m going to look out for anymore. From that very moment, you entered the same playing field as everyone else. As for Luka, I respect you, but that doesn’t matter once we step into the ring today. I know that you may think that I’m only focused on Mazra, but I know what you’re capable of, and you won’t get a quick one over me. I’m a former champion here at the Rogue Hall, and I have faced adversity many times before throughout my career. I hope that you’re both ready.
Thank you Henry, and thank you to anyone who reads this interview. It’s go time.”
